Korean cuisine has always been a hype to me and my friends since
we're a big fan of K-Pop, K-dramas and everything Korean related. We've always
watched how celebrities and idols would feel excited to eat the famous
dish, 삼겹살
[sam-gyeop-sal]. And because of our curiosity, we tried to try Korean cuisine
and prove if it is really worth the hype with our Filipino taste buds.
One Thursday
night this month, we thought of having Korean dishes for our dinner. We passed
so many Korean restaurants in Aguirre Ave., BF homes in Parañaque City but this
restaurant caught our attention so we immediately check their menu and see if
their prices fit our budget. We were glad that it wasn't pricey at all so we
got ourselves a table (more of a private room tho lmao) and decide what to get.
Of course 삼겹살 would
always be the first thing to order.
삼겹살 consists of thick and fatty slices of pork belly
meat, and usually neither marinated nor seasoned. It is usually cooked on a
grill at the dining table and is commonly served as an evening meal in Korea. I
was glad that the restaurant didn't prohibit of ordering one order of meat per
person because some restaurants that I went to before don't allow the sharing
of meat, unlimited meat or not. We also had 라면
(ramen), 김밥 (kimbap), 잡채 (japchae) and 김치찌개 (kimchi chigae).
Their staffs are so
hospitable and ask questions to make sure they satisfy their customers. If you
order a dish that would require grilling, you can choose whether you would have
it grilled on their kitchen or on your table and they would assist you in grilling
it- or the assigned staff would be the one who'll completely grill it. They
have numerous side dishes and most of it are unlimited (which means you can ask
for more!). They have also have sesame oil, salt and pepper, samjjang and
garlic for your samgyupsal wrap! Their vegetables are really fresh that you
could mostly taste its pure flavor and it's really crunchy to eat!
There are lots of Korean
Restaurant in Aguirre Avenue, BF Homes but I really recommend you this one! The
prices are reasonable and their staffs are really kind; they always serve your
requests happily (plus they remember some customers because I've been there
twice already and one of the staff remembers my request whenever I order a
ramyeon hehe). It's on the left side if you're going to exit in Lopez and left
side if you're going to SM BF. You can easily spot it as they have a huge light
sign with 'JEONJU' written on it. Hope you'll try it out soon!
